This year, we laid the groundwork for a residency program with two young adults. They were immersed in the culture and daily ministry of our church—maintaining office hours, participating in staff meetings, learning to lead and build teams, and contributing in key areas such as videography and event planning. Our vision for 2027 is to welcome two residents into a structured, three-to-six-month program. Each resident will receive practical training and develop the leadership, ministry, and workplace skills needed to serve and lead effectively in a local church.
The rear wall of our building presents a significant opportunity to make a stronger connection with our community. With its prominent visibility, a professionally designed mural would help people immediately identify our building as a welcoming and active church. The completed mural will feature our church website, social media information, and the words “Moving Life Forward.”
We remain committed to launching a second church location to reach and serve more people. Setting aside $500,000 for a capital reserve will position us to pursue a permanent facility when the right property becomes available. These funds could help cover a down payment, inspections, legal and closing expenses, architectural planning, and other acquisition-related costs. Current real estate listings demonstrate the scale of what this opportunity may require. For example, a 13,315-square-foot special-purpose property in New Rochelle is currently listed at approximately $2.3 million. Building a substantial reserve now will strengthen our purchasing position and help us be ready to move forward when the right opportunity comes.
